Suitable for those who prefer a finer grind or faster extraction, it is ideal for brews seeking a lighter body and distinct expression.

Made from lyocell and PLA. Lyocell is a fibre derived from wood that possesses the characteristic of allowing stable water passage through its uniform structure. PLA is a plant-based material that maintains its shape firmly, helping to ensure consistent flow during the extraction process. This combination provides clean results without the need for rinsing.

TYPE A | MEDIUM FLOW

Type A was designed to produce a medium flow rate to bring out sweetness, body and balance through a more stable extraction. We recommend grinding medium coarse to coarse with these filters.

Filters with fast flow rates often force the grind size to be excessively fine, which can easily lead to over-extraction. This can result in unwanted bitterness or off-flavours appearing in the cup. Type A regulates the flow to ensure sufficient contact time between the coffee and water. As a result, it achieves a more refined flavour.

Type A is made for the V3 01. In a UFO V2, Ceramic or V3 02, the paper sits shorter than the dripper.
